Well, I can’t help the rumors but they do get me thinking. The ones that have received the most media attention have to be the rumors regarding the video iPod. Everything points to video on the next iPod. Think about it, 1) color screen are now on iPods, and 2) iTunes is at version 4.9…so version 5.0 must have some big improvements. Yes, I know, video on iPod is against what Mr. Jobs has said in the past, but with the market nearly demanding it, iTunes mentioning occasional video feeds, and other devices already created with similar screen sizes (like the PSP, and VideoNow), there is obviously a market and reason for it (despite what Jobs said). In fact, the fact that Apple hasn’t said anything in a while about it, is a good indicator that either 1) they are happy with their security measures in place to not leak company info and they are grinning ear to ear that the rumors are completely wrong about what is next or 2) they are actually doing a video iPod. But, with rumors of a new iPod for Sept. or Oct. now, it’s also hard not to think about the rumors in the past with Apple hiring people for the iPod division for wireless communications…wireless iPod. Then again, it could be a wireless video iPod…how crazy would that be? Oh, what will the future hold? Who knows, and “the future tells no secrets.”

Over the weekend Jenn, my parents, April, Nuc, and I all went out to Busch Gardens. It was quite fun. I rode on all the roller-coasters they had there (Loch Ness Monster, Big Bad Wolf, Alpengeist, and the newer one, Apollo’s Chariot). I loved all the coasters there. If I have to pick a favorite though it would still have to be the Loch Ness. I was quite pleased with Apollo’s Chariot. The ride was really long, the line was almost non-existant, and I think it was the fastest/tallest in the park. Alpengeist, this time around, wasn’t really great. I think it was because the line for it was really long, and didn’t move fast. It was too bad though that since my last visit they removed the Drakenfire coaster, and the “beer ride” where they gave out free samples of beer at the end.
Jenn even went on some rides there. One was the newest ride there called Darkastle (4MPH, kinda a 3D experience). I chose to hold out on this one until the line got shorter, but every-time we passed it it only kept getting longer. Oh well, maybe next time.
Of course we went on some other classic rides too, like the log flume, and the bumper cars. And when it rained we ran into the nearest pub in the Ireland section of the park and had some drinks.
Now, on the 4th, it’ll be time to enjoy some fireworks, and the company of some other friends.
(P.S. When I get the picture of the Clydesdale horsey from Busch Gardens I’ll post him on the site.)
