Well, it took a while after the rough week at work (18 hrs comp time banked BTW), but I’ have formed my opinion about the new iPod. The new iPod, was released Oct. 12th, 2005. It looks like a nice piece of machinery, but I may be more tempted to buy it if had more storage space. My music collection is 29GB. Therefore, the low-end iPod (the only one I’d wanna pay for) is only 30GB, and I’m not tempted to buy it. If I did have it I probably wouldn’t be able to fit my whole collection on there (b/c 30GB is really 30GiB (see wikipedia)) let alone the video’s I’d like to store. Yes, I know my current iPod doesn’t fit my music library, but when I get a new iPod I want it to fit my library, and have it be an upgrade from my current iPod. So, in summary, if Apple were using those kickin’ 40GiB and 80GiB drives from Toshiba I would be more tempted to buy one cause then I’d have room for music and video. (BTW, I also admit that my timing was off, considering an earlier post where I mentioned that iTunes 5 would have support for video ipod. I was off by about a month, but right one one account. new major release version of iTunes brought video to iPod (iTunes 6)).

This is going to be a busy week. I got training at work, that columbus day off and a bunch of transfer cases (claim 1 hour for each). Basically, I need 3 completed cases this week with at least 76 hours of examination hours (I think), and I’ll get promoted. So, extra hours this week will be on mondays/tuesdays and thurs. ranging between 10 and 10.5 hours of work for those days. I should get enough exam time then to punch out three cases (and be well under 76 hours only securing the promotion more). With this in mind, I’ll be putting in MAD extra hour at work…and by the end of this biweek that just started I should have at least 2 full days of time I can take off whenever I wish. Good thing too, b/c I think by the end of each week this bi-week, I’m gonna want a beer. I’m looking forward to the payoff later.

I played so much Halo 2 last night, that I could see Halo 2 when I closed my eyes. Maybe that was caused by the big TV, but man….so good. Last night was also the first time that I had a Halo 2 game with more than 4 players. It was a fun time with vehicle jackings and road kills. I wish I would’ve recorded it on my laptop. An of course, only now I think of that…oh well.
