Snows — December 10, 2005
Sorry I haven’t updated everyone on the status of the first snow fall and what it meant, but Wednesday-Friday at work I’ve been working close to 12 hour days to get a 110% production score for the quarter (So, yes James, when my away message said “@work” at night, I really was at work). Putting in the extra hours worked, with 6 cases out I had about a 115% production. So, of those 12 hour days I made as many as I could overtime to put some extra Christmas money in my pocket, and 1.5 hrs comp. time to make a full banked up 3 days of leave to take whenever (xmas break :-p). Anyway, back to snow…
The first snow I mentioned on Dec. 4th did happen, and we got about 3 inches or so. Colder areas (like metal areas) got about 5 inches. With all this snow though, the timing was off, and I didn’t get any hours off of work
. Surprisingly, this accumulation was nearly all gone after one day. But, the next storm came on Friday morning. It started out snow with HUGE “flakes” at 1:30am, but after about an inch of snow it turned over into sleet then freezing rain. This got me 2 hours late arrival (YAY!) still to be interpreted correctly on my time sheet (BOO!).
So, here I am staying the night at April’s (my sister) so that Jenn and I don’t have to wake up too early tomorrow to get to church on time for our bell choir’s performance. Maybe if April is free later tonight I’ll introduce her to some Sealab 2021’s I coincidentally have on my laptop.
