So, in the end of Oct. my blog received some international press. A person by the name of Greg Aharonian apparently runs a website about patents and publishes an email news letter that many people see. I was published in that news letter as a software blogger at the USPTO with few postings. After the news letter went out, the number of people visiting my website doubled (to 400 - haha), and the most popular page changed from the comments page (of people trying to spam me) to the Job - USPTO category of my blog. Since then I’ve also received some internal recognition at the PTO with the POPA calling me, and kindly reminders that my blog is being looked at. I have thought about taking down the blog because of these reasons, however, I have nothing to fear. I haven’t posted anything bad or anything upper management would really care about…and I don’t plan on it. Additionally, if things somehow get hairy I have people/organizations to contact to help me if needed.
Anyhow, here it is about a month from the mentioning in then news letter and my readership on my blog has substantially settled down. I still plan on blogging and staying alive online.
