light at the end of the tunnel — August 3, 2007
Well, I’m feeling a light at the end of the tunnel for this time in my life. I’m nearing the end of probably one of the most stressful parts of my life. What has gone on and still needs to be done?
1) mostly recovered from MP3 HD failure – still have some holes to fill in though via iTunes store still (although the new HD/enclosure exhibits strange behavior when I plug it into the server. I’ll back up before I try that again);
2) pass a certification test at work – amazingly since it seems many people don’t pass 1st time and that I only studied for 3 hrs the night before;
3) BOUGHT a house in Lorton, VA area (still finalizing mortgage/inspection, etc) and still need to move in;
4) finalizing wedding plans with many weekend trips to PA and invitations sent;
5) took a small vacation to NJ shore;
6) DBZ season 3 comes out Sept.18; and
7) still need to buy xBOX 360/TV for Halo 3 release Sept. 25.
I hope you can see why I haven’t blogged in a while and why there may be another delay until I blog again. I can’t wait until the dust settles though. First major thing that needs to be completed is moving to our new place before our lease is up and with a significant gap before our wedding. Second major thing is the wedding. Once the wedding is over it’ll be a huge burden lifted. Then, after Halo 3 release I should slip back into a nice comfortable groove…kinda like how life was for me a year ago, but in a better dwelling. I can’t complain too much about work. I’ll have to take some comp. time off though to move I’m sure, but I’ll also have to work over time to get my ZID done before the end of the fiscal year – so things may be hectic later on there.
